So much fun, so litte wine

An Update on The Morning Moose Show

As some of you heard the other night during our monday (7/25/22) show, we will be shutting down The Morning Moose Show as it currently exists on Twitch.

Our last broadcast will be August 5, 2022.

Why though?

Because Nadia was accepted into law school and will be busy pursuing her law degree so she can actually make a living.

Though we had some really loyal fans for the Twitch show and some even subscribed, we weren't able to fully put our heart and souls into the show to make it blossom and grow the way we wanted it to.

Nadia works full-time at a law firm, I am at home taking care of my two young kids during virtual school and summer months. By the time the show rolls around at 7pm neither of us has much to give except the bare minimum.

I know what you're thinking, 'why can't you just crack the mics and go?!' Which would be great but is not realistic when it comes to putting on an engaging and entertaining hour. Especially on a medium that has visual elements to it like Twitch.

I had big plans for us that included not only sweet video segment intros but remote broadcasts from locations who would pay to have us sit in their business and do a show live on the spot.

Covid had a hand in killing a lot of those dreams as when you're at home taking care of 2 kids, making sure they're engaged in their schooling, feeding them and your spouse breakfast and lunch in addition to doing some household chores, it becomes next to impossible to build an entertainment program that has any value to it.

Oh yeah, and I do voicework and a weekly podcast.

So what's the next step?

I honestly don't know.

I thought about doing the show by myself. Maybe a Youtube channel with just me reviewing stuff or reacting to news. I REALLY have no clue at this moment.

I do know that once the kids are back in actual school (for the first time in 2 years!) that will allow more time for me to pursue my professional goals.

Ever since being let go from the morning radio job, I've not really been allowed to really think about what I want to do now. There's definitely been a lot of depression and I sometimes catch myself getting sad about how it ended at my last radio job. So maybe this would do wonders for my mental state as not having to say or hear the words 'The Morning Moose Show' might be beneficial to getting into a good headspace (I've done a LOT of therapy since October 2020!).

I've always wanted to pursue voicework as my full-time job and that is more-than-likely the route I will go.

But there's just something about being 'live on air' that is so fun and fulfilling for me.

Hell, maybe I'll be back on the radio sometime. Who knows?

I don't even know.

In the meantime, I invite you to join Nadia and myself for the last three shows beginning August 1, 2022.

As sad as I am to see this chapter in my life close, I HAVE to be excited about what the future holds.

To anyone who listened to us on the radio or watched us on Twitch: I thank you from the bottom of my heart.

And thanks to YOU, Ray-Ray!
